Rachel Ostroy’s path to creating neat-os and becoming an inventor, manufacturer and entrepreneur joins all her life experiences to date. A community-minded environmentalist and mother of three, she is passionate about the thoughtful consumption of fresh, local and organic food, the reduction of food waste and the elimination of unnecessary packaging. She created neat-os to fulfill a very specific need and is strategically expanding her company to meet the broader objectives of global sustainability and supporting local economies.
Rachel grew up in Los Angeles, and earned her B.A. and M.A. at University of Pennsylvania. Her professional expertise is in sustainable residential and interior design, and the food and beverage industry. After living in Philadelphia and Berkeley, she is now back in Los Angeles where neat-os is based.
As the company’s CEO, Rachel manages every aspect of the business, supported by a dedicated team. When not working on neat-os, she spends time with her family, creates upcycling projects, shops at the farmer’s market and keeps a toe in the LA food scene.
